Villamanta are excited to announce the commencement of a new, and time limited service to assist people with the AAT appeals.
In collaboration with Melbourne Law School, we have been training law students at the NDIS Clinic and soon they will be available to assist participants in the early stages of an AAT appeal. They will:
- Review the T-documents once you send them through
- Contact you to make a time to discuss the AAT process with you
- Call you (under the supervision of a lawyer) to discuss the AAT process, the T-docs, and answer any questions you may have
- Contact you again when you have received the Statement of Issues
- Discuss the Statement of Issues, and how to respond
- Send you an email with a summary of your discussion about the Statement of Issues, to use as a prompt at conference
If you wish, they may be able to attend the first case conference with you, as a support person, and to:
- Take notes
- Remind you of important points to raise if you forget
- Debrief with you after the conference
