Both professionally and personally, Zane McKenzie is a determined and passionate advocate for the rights of people with a disability.

A proud husband and father to 3 boys, Zane lives with his wife and family in Grovedale Victoria.

He began a Law degree at Deakin University in 2001, before exploring professional opportunities.

From 2013 to 2018-  Zane was a Community Educator with Scope, one of Australia’s largest Disability service providers.  In this role, he codesigned and delivered high-quality Disability Education within schools, corporate and community organisations. He successfully empowered people from all walks of life to better understand, and embrace their role in creating more inclusive, accepting, and welcoming communities for all people.

Zane was promoted to Scope’s Customer Engagement Manager in 2018. is responsible for facilitating meaningful conversations with Scope customers, and people with disability through a range of programs and initiatives. He is dedicated to giving a voice to people with disability at all levels of community life.

In his personal life, Zane is a mad Geelong Cats Fan, and a keen singer and musician. He is well known as a performer throughout Victoria. He also enjoys fishing, and  a game of chess.

Zane looks forward to bringing his skills to the Villamanta Committee of Management in 2022- to further strengthen the position and rights of people with disability in their communities.
